Most people believe math and ballet are opposites. In ballet, you are graceful and pretty, while in math you have to be quick and smart.

Well, really, in order to be a good ballet dancer, you have to be fast at math. Believe it or not, dancers are always counting. They have to keep track of their steps and are constantly counting to stay on the beat of the music. If you miss count, you could easily get off the music and be doing the wrong steps at the wrong time.

Dancers use math in many ways, and when they use it efficiently, they become some of the best dancers in the world.
