This is a student drawing of the Impossible Triangle.

You can draw it, but it is impossible to build it. Escher used this optical illusion, and others like it to make you take a second look. Mathematics does not take things at face value, but instead math “makes sure”. Math proves. So whatever you think you see here, look again. Escher would want you to stare and stare.
That’s why your Rx is just the right amount. It’s why the interest on your loan is correct. It’s why a bridge can hold so many cars. Math makes sure.
